Beat Repeat and OTT

SFDG Presents both Beat Repeat and Open Turntable Thursdays (OTT) at Raven Bar on April 26, 2012.  The evening starts off during happy hour with OTT at 5pm until 10pm with some great local DJ’s.  The night shifts to Beat Repeat at 10pm with more local DJ’s and special guest DJ Bardia F of Blue Orb Records.  The entire night is free cover and there are drink specials during happy hour.

Bardia Farhadian is known best for his productions under his co-owned record production company, Blue Orb Records. As a Persian-American producer, his roots of electronica started in Tehran, Iran and then to Istanbul, Turkey and eventually brought him to San Francisco and their underground scene. Then, inspired by his wife’s, DJ ThuyVu’s, musical pursuits and accomplishments, Bardia began djing at Supperclub, Sloane, The Endup, Harlot,2nd Sunday, Mighty, Ruby Skye, BeatBox and at Nikki Beach, Mexico. SupperClub continues to carry his monthly residency where his dark, banging techno and tech-house sound thrives best.

His first release, “Dark Nights,” was well received by San Francisco DJs, and many of his unreleased tracks such as “Victory,” “I’m Gonna Get You,” “Tonic,” “B Man,” and “You and I” gets continual full exposure in the techno and house industry.

His inspirations are drawn from highly creative people and exotic locales: Adam Beyer, Audiofly, Ahmet Sendil, Rooz, DJ ThuyVu, Ramtin Vadati, Angy Kore, Alex Costa, and Loco Dice; and traveling to legendary capitals of dance music including Burning Man, Miami, and Playa del Carmen BPM Festival.
Embracing the most avant garde tools and technology, Bardia endorses Reason and Ableton Live in his productions to create forward-thinking music set to strike any dancefloor for any occasion.

His newest EP Album “Roof Top,” hit #5 on Beatport TECH HOUSE TOP 100 RELEASES in January 2012.

SFDG Presents is proud to host BlaqJeff for a rare West Coast appearance. A founding member of the ADG in New York City, BlaqJeff has been spinning deep and funky tech-house for over two decades. BlaqJeff is a resident at Kush where he is currently curating the Friday Night Kush Sessions. His guests include renowned DJ’s such as Scott Wozniak, Kevin Yost, Mr. V, Juan Maclean, and many more.

SFDG will feature an opening set from …DJ Lo-Fi, who recently relocated to San Francisco from New York City where he was part of the ADG crew with BLaqJeff. He will be followed up by Darrel B., co-founder of SFDG who also comes with an East Coast/West Coast Pedigree. After that, enjoy the stylings of Dr. Mosco who hosts a show on MSK.fm and Party934.com. The night wraps up with MsManya of 90hz.org, DJ Kugler of Housework, and Shiva Tiffany, no stranger to the club scene of San Francisco.

A night of House Music that is guaranteed to take you back to the underground.
